Affirmative action for people living with disabilities
Why not have truly inclusive social employment policies by ensuring government contracts for disability service providers have a clause stipulating that at least 10% of new positions are reserved for suitably qualified people living with disabilities? Introduce an employment quota as a condition of taxpayer funding which could end job discrimination in this sector. This would provide positive role models, end nepotism and ensure the disability service industry reflects the diversity of Australia's population.
